Sponsored Pet Adoptions: Opening Doors to Forever Homes
About the Project
Through a special community initiative, Thomas J. Henry partnered with local no-kill animal shelters to cover adoption fees for individuals and families ready to welcome a new pet into their home. By removing financial barriers, the program helped connect hundreds of cats and dogs with loving owners—while providing critical support to the shelters that care for them.

Who We Helped
This initiative directly benefited:
- Adoptive Families – Individuals and households ready to give a pet a permanent, loving home.
- Local No-Kill Shelters – Partner organizations whose resources were freed up to care for more animals.
- Pets in Need – Dogs and cats awaiting adoption, many of whom found homes faster thanks to the waived fees.
Shelter partners included trusted no-kill organizations in South Texas known for their commitment to rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming.
Our Goal
- To remove financial barriers that can delay or deter pet adoption.
- To increase adoption rates and reduce shelter overcrowding.
- To support no-kill shelters in their mission to save lives and find forever homes for every animal in their care.
By taking on the adoption costs, Thomas J. Henry created a win-win, encouraging adoption while empowering shelters to focus their resources on rescue and care.
Event Highlights
- Full Adoption Fee Sponsorship – Covered 100% of adoption costs for approved adopters during the campaign period.
- Partner Shelters – Collaborated with multiple no-kill organizations to reach a broad community audience.
