CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - JAN 27, 2026 - At the core of Thomas J. Henry Law and the Thomas J. Henry Center for Philanthropy is a simple but powerful belief: justice should do more than help individuals. It should strengthen entire communities.
Every case we take on represents someone’s life, livelihood, and future. When we fight for our clients and secure meaningful financial compensation, the impact reaches far beyond the courtroom. Through intentional community involvement and philanthropic giving, those legal victories are transformed into lasting, real-world good. Because at our firm, when we win, the community wins.
Standing With Clients and the Communities They Call Home
Every day, the attorneys at Thomas J. Henry Law represent individuals and families who have been harmed due to someone else’s negligence. From serious injuries to life-altering accidents, our mission is to help clients secure compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and long-term financial stability.
That work does not end with a settlement or verdict. The financial compensation we recover helps clients rebuild their lives and also fuels our ability to give back. Through the Thomas J. Henry Center for Philanthropy, a portion of our success is reinvested directly into the communities where our clients live, work, and raise their families.
This approach has helped turn legal success into more than $200 million in documented economic impact, supporting local organizations, families, schools, and nonprofits across the nation. It is a cycle of justice and generosity designed to lift entire communities forward.
Transforming Legal Success into Community Impact
We do not view attorney fees as profit alone. We see them as an opportunity to create stability, opportunity, and hope on a broader scale.
As the philanthropic arm of Thomas J. Henry Law, the Center for Philanthropy directs resources generated through legal victories into community-first initiatives focused on food security, education, health, and nonprofit support. This ensures that every successful case contributes not just to an individual outcome, but to long-term community resilience and growth.
Feeding Families and Fighting Food Insecurity
One of our largest ongoing community involvement initiatives is Feast of Texas, a statewide effort that has provided more than 3.5 million meals to families across 92 counties, from major cities to rural communities.
By partnering with local food banks and volunteers, this program addresses food insecurity while delivering meaningful economic support at the local level. It is a clear example of how philanthropy, when done with purpose and scale, can generate measurable impact.
Turkey Giveaways, School Supplies, and Community Support
Each year, the Thomas J. Henry Turkey Giveaway helps put food on the table for thousands of families during the holiday season. Recent efforts included the distribution of 6,000 turkey vouchers over the course of a single week, helping families celebrate with dignity even during times of financial uncertainty.
Giving back extends beyond food programs. Through support of education-focused initiatives such as SA YES, CC YES, and Austin YES, TJH Gives has helped distribute tens of thousands of free school supply kits and classroom resources. These efforts support students, teachers, and families while strengthening school systems and long-term community outcomes.
Celebrating Communities Through Art, Music, and Connection
Community involvement also means celebrating the people and places that make communities thrive. Events like Austin Elevates bring people together through art and music, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits and community programs.
These initiatives go beyond fundraising. They create shared experiences, strengthen local culture, and reinforce the idea that philanthropy can inspire connection as well as change.
Giving Back as a Long-Term Commitment
The heart of the Center for Philanthropy is legacy. As founder Thomas J. Henry has said, real success is not measured by wealth alone, but by how it is used to make a difference.
By transforming legal victories into sustained community investment, we are building a cycle of impact where every client we help strengthens the communities that support them. Our goal is not just to create change for one person, but to create opportunity for many.
And we are just getting started.
