Who We Helped
- Medical centers and nonprofit organizations, which received essential PPE to protect staff and patients.
- Local blood banks, supported with drives held at law firm offices to address critical blood shortages.
- Community members, who remained connected to key firm-led initiatives like pet costume contests and charity giveaways—safely and creatively—despite pandemic constraints.
Our Goal
- To fill urgent public health gaps by donating masks and facilitating blood donations.
- To keep beloved community traditions alive, even under lockdown, by adapting events to maintain safety as a priority.
- To match action with empathy, showing that philanthropy during a crisis must be both creative and compassionate.
Thomas J. Henry’s contributions not only addressed immediate needs—they set a standard for adaptive, community-minded giving during uncertain times.
Pandemic Support Highlights
- The Event: A two-day art and music experience for Austin, Texas
- Mask Donations: Partnered with a San Antonio embroiderer to produce and distribute 1,000 handmade fabric masks to medical centers and nonprofits.
- Blood Drives: Hosted blood donation events at firm office locations, encouraging healthy employees to help alleviate regional blood shortages.
- Safe Event Adaptations:
- Bark in the Park went virtual, enabling families to participate remotely while still supporting local shelters. Turkey Giveaway became a drive-thru event, allowing safe distribution across multiple cities without in-person contact.
