Feast of Texas: Feeding Families Across the Lone Star State
About the Project
Giving back to the community has always been at the heart of Thomas J. Henry’s mission. The Feast of Texas represents a bold expansion of our longstanding Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. This statewide holiday initiative builds upon their Coastal Bend tradition to ensure no Texan is left behind. In collaboration with local food banks, the firm will provide over 3.5 million meals across 92 counties, spanning urban centers to remote rural communities.

Statewide Impact Through Local Food Bank Partnerships
Who We Helped
Feast of Texas supported families experiencing food insecurity across Texas through trusted local partners:
- Food Bank of the Golden Crescent – Serving the Coastal Bend and surrounding rural areas.
 - San Antonio Food Bank – Addressing hunger and food scarcity across South Texas.
 - Central Texas Food Bank – Providing meals and resources for individuals and families throughout the Austin area.
 - Houston Food Bank – Feeding vulnerable communities across the Greater Houston region.
 - North Texas Food Bank – Distributing meals across Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas communities.

These food banks helped us ensure that every donated dollar reached the people and places where it mattered most—delivering hope, comfort, and full holiday meals to Texas families in need.

“Hunger has no place in Texas. This season, we choose compassion over indifference knowing that when we stand together, no family is left without the nourishment they deserve.”

                                    Our Goal
The mission of Feast of Texas was simple yet powerful:
- To fight hunger across Texas during the holiday season.
 - To scale up a beloved tradition—the annual Turkey Giveaway—into a far-reaching campaign capable of helping more families than ever before.
 - To ensure every dollar spent directly benefited Texas families by empowering local food banks to meet real, immediate needs.

Philanthropist and attorney Thomas J. Henry reimagined his longtime tradition to maximize reach and impact, turning a local event into a statewide movement that fed millions.
                                                    Event Highlights
- The Event: A statewide holiday giving campaign launched in partnership with local food banks
 - Geographic Reach: 92 counties across Texas, including major metros and rural communities
 - Strategy Shift: Replaced our traditional Turkey Giveaway with direct food bank funding to distribute complete holiday meals more widely and effectively.
 - Meals Delivered: Over 3.5 million meals provided through food bank partners.

                                                    Making a Difference
Feast of Texas redefined what holiday giving can look like:
- Over 3.5 million meals helped families celebrate the season with dignity and nourishment.
 - Food banks across 92 counties received direct support to meet their unique local needs.
 - By scaling up his efforts, Thomas J. Henry empowered local agencies to serve more families, more efficiently, than ever before.

Feast of Texas showed that bold and collaborative giving does more than feed families. It helps to inspire hope across the state.
