Our Goals
This generous donation by Thomas J. Henry will help to:
Expand access to specialized medical and rehabilitative care in Puerto Rico.
Support SER of Puerto Rico’s capacity to serve children and adults.
Reduce wait times for therapy and medical evaluations.
Strengthen healthcare infrastructure through strategic, sustainable giving.
Why It Matters
For 75 years, SER of Puerto Rico has served as a lifeline for individuals with physical disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and autism spectrum disorders. As the only pediatric rehabilitation center of its kind on the island, SER plays a critical role in ensuring families have access to specialized care close to home.
This investment goes beyond immediate support—it strengthens the healthcare infrastructure that allows SER to serve more patients, more efficiently, and with greater impact. By supporting long-term capacity and specialist care, the Thomas J. Henry Center for Philanthropy is helping ensure that families across Puerto Rico receive timely, life-changing services for generations to come.
“Access to specialized care can change the trajectory of a child’s life and strengthen entire families. Supporting SER of Puerto Rico means investing in long-term solutions that give people the care and dignity they deserve.”
